Warsaw Marathon Foundation organises Warsaw Marathon, Warsaw Halfmarathon and special actions, combining sport activity with social responsibility. 

The “Warsaw Marathon” Foundation was established in 2002. The Foundation took over organisation of the Warsaw Marathon, which had been taking place every year since 1979! Since then every year has brought significant changes regarding organisation, size and the public perception of the event. In the 2002 Warsaw Marathon only 300 runners participated, while in 2008 that number significantly increased to over 3000! This expansion was caused not only by the stunning organisation skills involved in planning of the event, but also because of the high praise we received from the runners. Every year brings to Warsaw races also new runners from abroad.

Since 2006 the Foundation has also organised the Warsaw Halfharathon. Even though this race came into existence just four years ago, it’s already met with great interest from both Polish and foreign participants. In 2010 Warsaw Halfharathon was completed by almost 5000 runners.
